Dearest gearslutz, music makers, industry movers and shakers,
It’s December already! Time does fly when you’re having fun, so before the year comes to an end, here’s a quick update on what’s been going on in and around the Sonic Cuisine.
The Sonic Cuisine has been pumping out some fantastic music. I mixed and mastered the additional Praying Mantis tracks that make up their amazing NWOBHM 30th Anniversary “Metalmorphosis” album. The band and I went into Phoenix Studios at Pinewood to record and the album will be released on King Records at the back end of this month.
Hey there audiophiles. My last update was around Christmas time and quite a few things have happened since.
The High Wesolution December 2010 News Update
My fellow music lovers, four days off this year (since our honeymoon) is the main reason for not updating you earlier in the year. That’s my excuse and I’m going to stick to it.
The High Wesolution April 2010 Newsletter
Howdy my fellow gear heads. Spring time is finally here. A lot of work has been done in Wesonator land, so time for a little update.
Hello my festive fellow Audio Heads!
How quickly time flies when you’re having fun in The Sonic Cuisine.
Hi there fellow audio enthusiasts!
Time for a news update from The Sonic Cuisine.
In my last newsletter I promised to give you a little more info on the album I did with Elliott Randall at RAK studios.
We mastered John McKeown’s “Things Worth Fighting For” album here at The Sonic Cuisine and this gem will be released in September.
Hey there,
I've come back up for air and to give you all a little update on what's been happening at the Sonic Cuisine since February. How quickly time flies when you're having fun!
2009 decided to kick off firing on all cylinders with the arrival of our UAD2 Nevana 128 Quad card. This beast arrived for an Audio Pro International review.
I was working on Chris Flegg’s “My Green Guitar” and “Her Favourite Flower” albums, recorded at Cream Studios, and they were perfect for test-driving these amazing plug ins.
They blew me away, as you can read in the Audio Pro review. Anyway, it resulted in me buying the card and so we can now safely say that the Sonic Cuisine is UAD2 powered!
It’s been a busy few months since the last news update. The spices have been flying around The Sonic Cuisine, the chef has been cooking in other kitchens and several High Wesolution discs have found their happy destinations.
First things first: I’m delighted to announce that my website has been overhauled, and now features a special “Upload/Download” facility. My clients can have their own private access, can send me their tracks to mix or master and download them again when they’re done, all without worrying about what might happen to CDs in the post, and of course, tracks can be uploaded from anywhere in the world.
It's nice to be too busy to write a news update, but that's a pretty feeble excuse. So, long overdue, here it is... The Deborah Bonham 'Live in Malta' DVD is finished. We mixed it here at the Sonic Cuisine and Ryan at Raw made it look fantastic. Things on the mastering front have been cooking as well. In fact, I've found myself working with two generations of Bonhams, thanks to Sound Discs, as I mastered the splendid new album 'Lust for Life' from The Zimmers, featuring Joan Bonham, Deborah's Mum! It's great stuff, so look out for it. Other mastering jobs from Sound Discs included a new album from Katie Owen called 'Coming on Strong' and Andy Brentnall's delightful EP 'Quite Acoustic'.
