RECORDING AND MIXING IN THE STUDIO AND ON LOCATION

I'm a freelance sound engineer based in West London.  I've worked as both a recording engineer and a mix engineer on a wide variety of artist projects.  I've recorded everything from solo lute to heavy metal and most points in between, as you can see from my Client List. I've had the good fortune to work with producers such as Elliott Randall, Garth Richardson and Paul O'Duffy, and I've been the producer or co-producer of some fantastic recordings myself recently, including Praying Mantis' 30th anniversary 'Metalmorphosis' recordings  and the debut EP from super-talented singer/songwriter Raie - check them out on my SoundCloud Showreel.

I'm familiar with most of the desks, software and outboard gear out there, but shoot me an e-mail or or call me if you have a specific studio or piece of kit you're planning to work with.  I've made plenty of live recordings too, everywhere from The Astoria to Ely Cathedral, and I can get a great sound out of all of them.  Check out my Client List to see who I've recorded on location.

Home is West London, but I'm happy to to travel to wherever the work takes me.  I speak English, Dutch, French and German fluently and I have excellent relationships with some terrific studios of all sizes and prices, both in the UK and Europe, so if you're not sure where to record or mix, feel free to ask me for advice or to see what sort of a deal I can get for you.

If you can't afford to mix at a studio, we can mix 'in the box' at my West London home studio - The Sonic Cuisine at GHQ.  We're just 4 miles from Marble Arch and a short walk from 5 tube lines and the London Overground.  I have Logic, Pro Tools and some classy analogue outboard gear as well as lots of top notch plug-ins.  Send me an e-mail if you'd like to see a list of gear I have available for recording and mixing.

Just give me a call or drop me an e-mail for my day rates or project based fees.  Have a look at my Word on the Street page to see what my clients say about working with me and you can follow me on Twitter to see what projects I'm working on right now.
